On Blue Mountain Lake

Row! Paddle! Sail!

Participate in events on the water, talk with other “boat nuts,” and join in the Grand Parade of Boats. Antique wooden boats, modern replicas, adaptations of traditional designs, or modern designs handmade primarily of wood are all welcome. The Regatta is an opportunity to talk with other lovers of small wooden watercraft, show off your boat, and have fun just “messing about.” The day will include several fun and mildly competitive events inspired by American Canoe Association events held in the 1880s in the Adirondacks including Hurry-Scurry and a couple of short races for different types of boats. We hope that everyone will participate in the Grand Parade of Boats. The event is free to participants, but registration is required.

Every boat must carry a USCG-approved life jacket (PFD) for each person in the boat. Children under 12 must wear theirs while on the water. Bring an anchor if you want to compete in the Hurry-Scurry.
